Pilot Safety
There have been several medical papers and
FAA alerts issued over the years regarding health effects to cockpit crews from sun exposure. Ultra Violet rays reach cockpit crews from not only the sky but also from reflection from the ground, snow, water, sand, etc.
  • Cancer is the principal health concern for
cockpit crews due to exposure to the sun.
Cockpit Crews have the highest incidence
of Skin Cancer, a disease caused by UV
radiation which is blocked by our shades.

  • Eye cataracts in airline pilots are most
numerous as compared to non airline groups. Also a greater risk is present among younger pilots where cataracts are rare.

  • Pilot fatigue is accentuated by glare in
    the cockpit and hot environments.

  • Our sunshades also help to eliminate
    dehydration. Sunshades are a major
    contributor to reducing pilot fatigue,
    an important safety element especially
at the end of the flight when pilot alertness is vital for the safety of the flight.

Aero Shade Films reduce U.V. by 99.7%
    and provide 92% heat rejection.
